| So we made it through the week pretty well...Vic has been working from home, so I haven't had to face a full day with The Toddler and The Baby. I am fairly mortified at the thought of dealing with the both of them all day. We'll see how it goes - since Vic's back at the office on Monday. Good thing he's got Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday off! Oh, and I've finally joined Facebook. Now I get to spend time uploading pics on that website too! I actually like Facebook (much more than MySpace, which is kinda lame, IMHO) - I like to see what everyone's up to, and get instant feedback on pictures and comments and such. So I'll probably stick with Facebook and Xanga for now. I still really, really like Xanga, b/c I can be more creative with my posts. Facebook is more like Advanced IM'ing to me. I can shoot a quick note to an old high school friend and see videos of my sisters' kids. I like that. Okay, a few pics of the kids (which are now also on Facebook)! Vic's 32nd birthday (we celebrated a bit early when Mei was here - the chocolate flourless torte was AWESOME!!)
I think this pic is friggin' hilarious...
Baby in the basket!

David always has to be where Abby is...

| So Abby's middle name is "Ben-Tsu". Vic's folks came up with it and gave it to her on the day she was born. It comes from a traditional Confucian poem. Vic's mom spent quite a bit of time explaining the meaning to me; it loosely translates to "born with a kind heart". However, for those who are curious (and for my own posterity), I had Vicki look up the poem. Voila!! 人 之 初 ren zhi chu (tsu) People at birth
性 本 善 xing ben shan Are naturally good
性 相 近 xing xiang jin Their natures are similar
習 相 遠 xi xiang yuan Their habits become different
苟 不 教 gou bu jiao If negligently or foolishly, not taught,
性 乃 遷 xing nai qian Their nature deteriorate/widely differ
教 之 道 jiao zhi dao The right way to teach,
貴 以 專 gui yi zhuan Is with absolute concentration/thoroughness So basically, Abby is born good...and if we don't teach her well, she will turn bad! Way to lay on the guilt, Nai-Nai!!
| Halloween is my favorite holiday - as anyone who has ever been to one of my parties can attest. This year, since we had Abby 1 week before my most favorite holiday, we played it low-key. (But next year it's gonna rock!) So here are the obligatory Halloween pics!
Painting pumpkins with the neighbor kids (Elena & Nabil). We used puffy glitter paint, since Mommy didn't feel like breaking out the carving knives this year.
Our little web-slinger. Since David freaked out so much last year about his costume, I decided to get him some Spider-Man pj's instead (which cost about as much as a costume). David loves to watch the old "Spider-Man" cartoon on YouTube, so when he got to BE Spider-Man, his mind was officially blown. Vicki & I stayed at home with Abby while Vic took David to Ken & Grace's house for some trick-or-treating. Here's a few pics of the adorable kids. Ah, memories...
Hooray for free candy! (and it's mine, all mine!! bwahahahaha!)
| David is totally enamored with his baby sister:
And now come the comparison pictures. See if you can guess which one is David and which one is Abby:
